While visiting one of the favorite pumpkin patches in Wyoming, MN last month, I noticed a bit of permanent décor among the display for the festivities. Long after October, people will be able to drive down County Road 22 and know from this Uniquely Minnesota Artful Distraction where the pumpkins will be next fall.
This carved set of pumpkins is in the front yard of the Lendt Pumpkin patch year greeting the family and friends of the owners year round while providing a bit of artful roadside distraction for those passing by. No doubt left in anyone's mind what grows in these fields, even in the dead of winter.
Have a VERY Happy and Safe Halloween!

Teri how cute is that! AND what marketing. Some people have a nack for great ideas don't they? Have a ghoulishly perfect real estate day!
Teri I hope you and your family have a great Halloween. Love the pictures:)
Oh pumpkins! How fitting for today. HAPPY HALLOWEEN, Teri
Fun time of the year for the whole family. We just got back from a petting farm and everyone had a great time.
Happy Halloween to you -- I love these pumpkin artful distractions!
Teri, They are HUGE! I love these incredible finds of yours in your lovely area!
Teri, I said it before and I'll say it again - you sure know where to find the unusual - I'll bet you're that good with houses, too. Karen
We'll have to look at them next year to see if they've grown any. Maybe those are the type of pumpkins that eventually get to 1,500 pounds and win their owners thousands of dollars. LOL
Lee&Pamela--They certainly do! Have a wonderful weekend!
Bill--Have a great Halloween in Massachusetts too!
Sandra--I had to save them to share today...Have a great weekend!
Terry--Pumpkin patches and hayrides do make Halloween a special time!
Joan--They certainly are unique! Not the decor for every MN yard but works in at a pumpkin farm!
Carole--There are many Minnesotan's that enjoy sharing a bit of themselves in their front yard and on main street aren't there?
Karen--As you can see, I have to know the neighborhoods to find these distractions...They aren't in every MN front yard. :)
Russell--These ones will probably stay the same size as they are. This pumpkin patch grows mostly Jack-o-lantern sized so the distraction pumpkins will always be take the prize for the largest ones! :)
Appears to be wooden carved pumpkins, nice.
Mary--They are a fixture at this pumpkin farm!
Teri,
I'm beginning to think Mn. is a little "different". LOL!
What a great way to distinguish the area!!! What a cute landmark. I am sure little ones as well as adults will always remember this!
Cynthia--The post is called "roadside distractions" because they are rare. There are many more "normal" homes than homes with unique art in their front yards by far! :)
Cherimie--It is more eyecatching in the winter and spring before all of the Halloween decorations overtake the yard. Fun for a landmark though! :)
Teri, Nice shot. I wonder how they would have looked carved....talk about a long face - it would have been one.
Teri- you always have something unique to blog about. I really enjoy Halloween!
