Looks like a great place. I'm sort of surprised to see a 3-car garage, how common is that in your neck-of-the-woods? And underground fencing???
Lynda--Great questions! Most new homes in Minnesota are built with a 3 stall attached garage if space allows. Prior to 1990 it was rare though and in this neighborhood most homes only have 2 stalls and don't have the extra space on the driveway to park an RV.
On acreage, there is often a 2nd garage or pole barn for storage in addition to a 3 stall attached. Many people in our state (I think the statistic is 25%) own boats because of all the lakes we have access to. If not boats, there are the snowmobiles, RVs, jet skis, ATVs or in our case...just stuff!
As for underground fencing, many communities restrict fencing as it can become an eyesore so dog owners will train their dogs to stay in the yard with underground fencing. That doesn't keep other animals out though.
