A Friday Night Cruz through Historic North St Paul, Minnesota

North St Paul History Cruz by Teri Eckholm RealtorNorth St Paul is a community rich in history. If you stop by on a Friday night in the summer, you might feel that you have stepped back in time. The Friday Night History Cruz has been at home in North St. Paul since very humble beginnings in 1996.  The History Cruz is an informal car show where several hundred classic enthusiasts park along 7th Avenue in the downtown of this quaint little town so residents and visitors alike can stroll down memory lane while enjoying a corn doNorth St Paul History Cruz by Teri Eckholm Realtorg,  a cone from the Hometown Creamery or  a slice of Randy's Pizza.

My family tries to get down to the North St Paul car show at least a few times every summer. Last Friday, as a way to kick off the Fourth of July weekend, we ventured down and snapped a few photos.

As we walked down the sidewalk where there are now antique shops where the Miller's Shoes, Harry's Drug and the flower shop used to be, we realized how much has changed. The movie theater and Mac's Dinette were demolished years ago. Silver Skate roller rink has been a church for decades. Still there are homes and families that have been a part of this community for over a century. As former North St Paulites we always run into one or two familiar faces.

As much as things change, there are those maintaining the past, whether a historic home or classic car. North St Paul continues to have the buzz of a vibrant community, especially when the classics come to town!2503 16th Ave E North St Paul MN by Teri Eckholm REALTOR

I love old cars... and they do bring back a lot of great memories of great times.. and perhaps a less stressful life. :)

Teri sounds like a great family activity. I get to see many old cars several times a year. as carshows are held nearby.

Hi Teri, A great presentation. At first I was not sure I would like this house but I love it. I love the informal dining and older and lovingly restored details. I think Friday night at North St Paul, would be an especially enjoyable time  with you and your family and taking in all the cars and just walking the neighborhood streets of St Paul.

William--It is fun to visit North St Paul (a community that is actually northeast of St Paul) and walk the streets when the old cars are in town. This historical home is off the main street by about a mile but was one of the first homes built in the community. The restoration is wonderful....an opportunity to own history.
