Wordless Wednesday--LOLCat in the Hat!

LOLCat Elmer Fudd Hat by Teri Eckholm Realtor

They sell cat headwear in the treat aisle at Target but I don't think this was much of a treat for our fat head cat. He was a little feisty as we had to "work" his ears into the earholes. But he really enjoyed the catnip and salmon flavored goodies. We decided to leave the ears alone and he looked a bit like Elmer Fudd....but still not happy with his hat.

What a cutie, Teri.  Too bad he doesn't like it -- it is adorable.

Hey Teri,

I'd try one of those on my dog if I didn't think he'd chew my arm off! Does catnip work on dogs too!?

I like the hat but the cat looks like it's gonna take some getting use to.

Teri, you have one docile cat.  My cat would not tolerate such "silliness" even if I gave her catnip to calm her down!  I wish she did!

That is not something that any of ours would tolerate, either.  Catnip or no catnip, there will be no cat hats in this household :)

Teri, that is one cool cat....never seen a kittie that would behave so nicely for a photos shoot! You just need to market the hat to the cat....then it will all be cool!

Teriffic pictures! I love the hat! He sure looks calm and chilled out to have his picture taken.

Teri - That cat looks totally comfortable in that hat!  Did he pick it out himself?

Teri I am not quite sure if the cat like his hat or not:) Maybe he just looks tired.

Susan--It doesn't fit is head very well...He has a rather large head for a cat. But he did look cute when we got it on him.

Dixon Team--I think meat would be a better choice for a dog! :)

Sara--He's used to it...Used to it laying on the floor beside him that is. lol

Doug&Gloria--He only wore it for the photo...Even after the catnip bribe.

Jim&Maria--Look at the face...do you really think he wore it for very long? He is pretty tolerant for about 30 seconds with or without catnip.

Jeanean--I usually have to be quick and sneak up on him while he is napping to get the best shots. Quickly put on the hat and snap the photo...the hat doesn't stay on for very long. :)

Lizette--He tolerates my dressing him up a bit now and then...Doesn't he look adorable?

Myrl--He is a master of hiding his true feelings but does like to appear like a very cool cat!

Carole--Thanks Carole...he is a great subject. :)

Lynda--He loves the extra attention...we usually just leave him alone as he thinks he runs the house. A photo in a hat now and then is repayment for his dinner and clean catbox!

Ray--We do treat him like the king that he thinks he is! :)

Marzena--He is adorable and well loved!

Bill--I think I did interrupt one of his dozen or so naps for the photo. He sleeps for about 80% of the day...only moving around the house to different spots to rest...he kind of follows the sun.

Hi Teri, What cute photos, although he doesn't look too happy about it.  Great shots, thanks for sharing.
